Holistic Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that naturally addresses fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, uneven skin tone, acne, scarring, age spots, and other skin issues to brighten and smooth skin. It is also effective in stimulating new hair growth on the scalp. 

 

At Wellnest Integrative Health, we incorporate a whole-body approach to facial and hair rejuvenation called holistic microneedling. Holistic microneedling combines the best of microneedling with full-body acupuncture to stimulate renewal topically, get to the root cause of the problem, and help you feel your best. Each treatment session is individualized with custom organic herbal serums specific to your needs. After your session, food therapy and/or herbal recommendations will also be provided, ensuring healing from the inside out. 

 

The procedure involves using a medical-grade pen with fine needles that penetrate the skin at a controlled depth, creating channels through the skin. The procedure will feel like a light scraping across the skin. Microneedling enhances the absorption of the custom herbal serum into the skin by up to 3000%, increases blood flow, and boosts collagen and elastin production. While results can be seen after one session, research shows the best results occur with three to six treatments spaced four weeks apart. Nanoneedling can be used and is recommended weekly between the microneedling sessions. Results from the initial series of treatments can last for five or more years. Most patients continue with an annual treatment to freshen and revive results.

What ingredients make up herbal serums?

The herbal serums are made in a base of organic hyaluronic acid and are customized to the client's needs using plant stem cells and potent traditional herbal extracts.

How does microneedling differ from other treatments, such as chemical peels and microdermabrasion? 

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the skin is the first layer of protection for our defensive Qi (Wei Wi). With microneedling, the top layer of skin remains intact to protect the body's defensive Qi. Our custom herbal serums, which are applied topically during and after the treatment, aid in continued cell regeneration.
