Traditional ear seeds are made from Vaccaria seeds attached to an adhesive sticker. Versions are now made with ion pellets, magnets, stainless steel, and titanium. In our clinic, we predominantly use stainless steel beads.

Ear seeds/beads are a form of auriculotherapy, which uses acupressure points in the ear to stimulate other parts of the body. It can treat and prevent a wide range of physical and emotional imbalances like anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, nausea, hypertension, substance abuse, and digestive disorders. The ear seed acts like an acupuncture needle and helps to stimulate and treat the patient's condition without needing to puncture the skin. Ear beads are an excellent treatment for patients who want to continue their therapy while at home or on the go by rubbing the seeds throughout the duration of the placement.
